We Believe In The Gospel

At Nasonworth Baptist Church our desire is to glorify God.

We do this through the study of the Word of God, so that we know and contend for the fundamentals of the faith.

Our goal is to reach more people to follow Jesus Christ. The approach to reaching this goal is through a born-again,
Spirit-filled people committed to a closer walk with God.

Milestone Moments

1825

first Church under construction, was destroyed by the Great Miramichi Fire the same year.

1827

Services were held in a small schoolhouse near the Smith home, Israel Smith & Thomas Philips were first deacons.

1847

church was reorganized, and a new church building was started and completed, through the untiring efforts of Israel Smith under the name of Rusagonis Calvinist Baptist Church.

1876

church name changed to New Maryland Calvinist Baptist Church.

1905

union between Calvinist Baptist Churches and Free Christian Baptist churches occurred.

church name changed to New Maryland United Baptist Church

1978

celebrated 150th Anniversary

1984

a group of people prepared to follow the Lord’s leading in building a new church was established an outplant to Faith United Baptist Church, in New Maryland, NB.

1989

Church renamed to Nasonworth Baptist Church (NBC)

2012

New additions on to the church were built with seating capacity of 170 people. Handicap access and new washrooms, nursery, and classrooms. NBC ready to serve the community.
